History Dating back to the early s Uttoxeter has raced through some of the most important historic events of the last Millennium. The racecourse was built in and opened by a company formed to take over the interests and licence of Keele Park racecourse, which had recently ceased to operate. There were 5 days of racing in , 2 in May, 2 in October and 1 in December. According to ‘The Racecourse of Great Britain and Ireland’ guide “the meeting is largely patronised by the nobility and gentry and sportsmen in the county there being members already subscribed to the Club”.
The First World War closed down all racing throughout the country in Racing was resumed in , although the first meeting had to be abandoned on account of bad weather. During the Second World War the course was requisitioned by the War Department and no racing, of course, took place. In the Uttoxeter Urban Council appoints a committee to investigate the non-resumption of racing after the war. Part of the course consisted of a four-acre field which the Racecourse Company did not own, but only leased from a farmer, who was reluctant to lease or sell it to them at a sum which they could afford.
It appeared the company would have to go into liquidation and the racecourse would disappear.

They Know What They Want. We’ve all been there, can’t be bothered to travel too far to find the potential hookups. Since I’ve joined the site, I strongly believe that hookups should always be local. It just makes sense. Recently, a lot of people have started using Tinder to meet others, it has been a hit I must admit, but who really has time to swipe people left and right? If the people are near you then you should be messaging them straight away, this is where ShagInYourPostcode comes in, there are no gimmicks, no games and no disappointments.
Once you join get chatting to a few members you will soon realise what you have at your doorstep, most people never experience this I remember a few years back when I just couldn’t find a girl to hook up with, it was next to impossible, then I stumbled across a few dating sites online, i’m talking the early days, when they first came about, it was great.
Suddenly, everyone had access to these amazing sites where they could just chat to singles from all over and meet them. It was like the chat rooms or MSN but 10x better.

Initially the blooms came from Scunthorpe but within a few months this seems to have changed to Lackenby although Scunthorpe featured occasionally.
